Easy Entertainment

Hi everyone :)

Today I just have a clip for you that I thought you might enjoy, because I actually intend to spend some quality time with my boyfriend seeing that we haven't spend that much time together lately. Uni has been a big part of it but mostly it was me being genuinely busy.

But I don't want to neglect you guys so here you go:

Yes they are not the best singers but I loved it :) I liked the idea :)

Creative Sunday - Piano Guys

Hi everyone :)

I am actually for once going with the theme I had planned for Sunday’s all along. Something creative.  I have probably watch all of their videos by now and I have only found them about a week ago. And most of these songs have been bought and are on replay that is how good they are.
I am talking about The Piano Guys. Not only pop song covers obviously but that is how I found them. They do covers of really popular songs but only do acoustic versions and it is so so so good. Their stuff is addictive.

No matter if you like One Direction or not but I can guarantee you that you will appreciate this version of their song ’Story of my Life’.

Another favorite of mine that they have also done: Let it go.

The stuff they do is pure art at least in my opinion and I am not just talking about the music. The videos they do are amazing as well. Go give their other stuff a listen as well, you won't regret it :)

A healthy Breakfast never killed nobody

Hi everyone :)

The ones of you that follow me on Instagram will have seen that I posted a picture of my breakfast on Tuesday and promised a blog post with a recipe. So here it is:

Ingredients:

3 tbsp curd
2 tbsp yogurt
1/2 tsp agave syrup

2 tbsp porridge oats
1 small handful of cashew nuts (chopped)
1tbsp honey
1 tbsp apple sauce
2 strawberries
a couple of blueberries

This breakfast is really easy to make and wont take long at all. Mix the curd, yogurt, and agave syrup together in a bowl and roast the chopped cashew nuts and the porridge oats in a pan.

Don't use any oil or butter and stir until they start to turn brown. You have to really stay on that otherwise you might burn them.

As soon as they start to turn brown you add a tablespoon of honey and mix it together thoroughly, then take it off the hob to let it cool down for a bit.
After that you only have to chop up your strawberries and your are practically done.

Get your curd and yogurt mixture into your breakfast bowl and pour the apple sauce on top as well as your roasted ingredients.
At last add the strawberries and the blueberries and you are good to go :)

don't you just love that evil little smirk that my bowl got going on? :D

I would recommend drinking a smoothie with it but I might just be a bit obsessed with those. If you, however, feel the same: here are a view smoothie recipes!

Enjoy your breakfast :)

Make-Up Guru's

Hi everyone :)

I am a little obsessed with watching make-up tutorials on YouTube and I thought I would introduce you to some of my favourite make-up guru's, if you want to call them that.

First off obviously the one and only Pixiwoo.
Their channel is simply amazing, whatever occasion you need a look for you will find it on there, promised.
Their looks go form celebrity look recreations over special occasion looks to Halloween looks and a lot more.
The channel is run by Sam and Nick Chapman and they have been around for almost as long as YouTube has.

They also have a website and a separate channel called Real Techniques where they show tips and tricks all involving make-up. It stared out as only Sam's channel, as she also was the one who first started with the real techniques brushes, but it is both of theirs now.  If you are subscribed to one you should really be subscribed to the other as well.

Next up: Fleur de Force
She does a variety of different things and you will probably find most of it very use full. I know I have.

And the last one: Tanya Burr.
I absolutely adore her she is so cute and her videos are absolutely brilliant.
Tanya is also a make-up artist which I always find useful, because these people genuinely know what they are talking about. And I do tend to trust their judgement of products more.

Oh and before I forget it: Here are the blog's of all three of them :) Well the Pixiwoo website is more of a magazine than a blog but still...

So these are my go to YouTube channels if I need a new make-up look or if I am thinking about buying a new foundation or lipstick I usually check their monthly favourites first.

Musical Monday

Hi everyone :)

Here is some new music I would like to share with all of you :)
There is this new movie coming out in a couple of weeks called 'The Fault In Our Stars' and the soundtrack to that movie is amazing. I absolutely love it.

So in this weeks Musical Monday I am going to show you my favourite songs from the soundtrack. I hope you like them!

You know how sometimes a movie only works really well with music? I think just from listening to the music from the soundtrack you get a feeling for what the movie is going to be like. And especially the emotions it will evoke.

Enjoy!!

Dancing in the Rain

Hi everyone :)

Just yesterday I rediscovered this quote I had saved on my laptop ages ago and I felt like sharing it:

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it's about learning to dance in the rain."
- Vivian Greene

Going through a rough time is not meant to be easy and we are not meant to just wait for it to be over we are meant to work through it. To grow stronger and come out of it with having learned something.
Storms shouldn't just be waited out, we won't gain anything from that. Sure if we go all in and dance in the rain, we will get wet it probably will not be pleasant but we will have done something. We didn't just sit around and waited for it to be over.
We took action and that's really what it's all about isn't it. It is about trying. We don't always have to succeed but at least we should try :)

Healthy Breakfast

Hi everyone :)

Last Friday I introduced you guys to the world of smoothies and their deliciousness. If you haven't read that yet you definitely should: here.
This week I want to continue with healthy food starting off with breakfast.
I am a bit obsessed with freshly cooked meals and various sorts of salads at the moments. Healthy food isn't only healthy but most of the time tastes even better than any fast food you can find. And it leaves you without a guilty conscience which is always a bonus.

I am subscribed to Niomi Smart and her last video was about healthy breakfast foods so I thought I would share it with you guys.

All these things are really delicious and now you can have a bot of a variation since always eating the same things gets a bit boring :)

Lolly Lolly Lolly

Hi everyone :)

As you might all be very well aware of: I am studying English as my major. That means I have to get a lot of grammar stuff into my head that isn't necessarily always fun.
However our grammar teacher this semester is freakin' hilarious.
She is from America yet somehow doesn't sound like an American at all. Probably due to the fact that she has also lived in South Africa and England. But there are these rare moments where she blurts out stuff like: Giiiiiirl you did that good. And it is the most hilarious thing you will ever hear.
So for this weeks lecture she brought a little clip along as it fit what we were learning that week. Adverbs granted not the most amazing thing and not really blog worthy, but the clip she showed us is. Trust me on this one.
So basically she said that these clips are basically what here secondary school teachers used to get their kids to learn grammar.
And I have never laughed so hard in my life. It is horrendously cute and confusing and disturbing at the same time.

Just watch it :)

The lecture was on Wednesday and I am still humming this song at work and can't get it out of my head. It is addictive :D
A really catchy tune. I haven't managed to forget about it yet. Still waiting for the time that I don't wake up and feel like singing 'Lolly Lolly Lolly get your adverbs here'. It is kind of creepy :D
I wish our English teachers would have been this creative in school. Maybe we would ahve been a bit more willing to learn stuff.

A Blotch of Pink

Hi everyone :)

Over the last couple of weeks I have been stocking up on lipsticks. But not just any colour, no I wanted to have pinks and nude colours. Still working on the corals but I haven't fallen in love with any of those yet.

Although I have tried a lot more than just the 4 I am about to show you, those 4 are my absolute favourites. I like their colour, their texture and that they don't dry my lips out or move to much.

They are all really pretty pinky colours except for the Maybeline one which is a beigy nude colour.

As you can see they are all a bit different from one another.
The MAC one is kind of a rose pink and not as bright as the Revlon one for example which is a full on pink. Both do stay on very well and don't kind of flow away if you use a lip liner. The nutrimetics lipstick is almost a coral pink although I love the colour of this one I do have to say that this one last a lot longer if you put a bit of translucent powder on top.
And lastly the Maybeline lipstick. It is my abolsute favourite nude colour that I own.

1. REVLON colorburst lip butter -  090 sweet tart
2. Nutrimetics hydra brilliance - No. 118C antique
3. MAC - lovelorn AC2
4. Maybeline New York color sensational - 725 tantalizing taupe

Maybe I could help you find your favourite springy pinky lipstick colour. Or a new favourite nude :)

Mother's Day

Hi everyone :)

I don't know if it is Mother's Day for everyone today but in Germany at least it is. And isn't it weird that we only really think about what our mum's went through to get us where we are on Mother's Day? It's a weird concept that.
I mean they went through 17 hours of labour for us. You don't just do that for anyone.
They put up with our tantrums, with us ignoring them and sometimes even thinking we hated them.
We have this connection with our mothers that we never loose and even when we move out they are still part of us. Quite a big part for me. My mum has thought me most of what I know. She has held my hand through the rough patches and was the first person I saw when I woke up in hospital after my car accident. Let me tell you that was the best day of my life, not literally but you know.
They are there for everything all the ups and downs and they never give up on us even if we have.

We should all be really grateful for that! I know I am.
My mum means so much to me and everything she has done for me. I know for sure I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for her. Her trust in me making my own choices but also her hugs and kind words when things did go wrong. I love her for letting me make my own mistakes and not telling me: I told you so, afterwards even though she knew all along.
This is what we really need to say to our mums:

One giant big Thank You paired with an enormous hug :)

Youtube Treasures

Hi everyone :)

I am busy with uni stuff again. Who would have guessed. I have my first exam in two weeks and essay's to write and horrendous amounts of texts to read.
So this one is going to be real short I am afraid.

A week ago I stumbled upon this clip by accident and boy is it brilliant.
Makes me laugh every time :)

And another clip my boyfriend introduced me to, yes you are allowed to clap your back :D

I mean you gotta love Emma Stone right, but after I have seen this clip I just always think about it whenever I see her. It's sooooo good :D

Enjoy your Saturday night :)

Smoothie-licious

Hi everyone :)

As promised here are some more very very delicious smoothie recipes that I have tried myself and deemed tasty.
I hope you like them and can maybe enjoy them as much as I do. I have at least one a day at the moment because I like experimenting with them so much but also because I have a bit of a sweet tooth and smoothies are my sweets right now.

Maybe I should think of names for them as well. Just so it is easier to tell them apart. Let me tell you they all are absolutely dumb. Literally the first thing that came to mind so don't judge.... :P
Obviously you will have to cut all the ingredients up just a bit because although I do have a great blender I don't think it could handle a whole apple :D

Green Monster
1 green apple
1 peach
1 kiwi
50 ml passion fruit juice
(for slightly sweeter version add 1 tsp of maple syrup)

Purple Delight
1 handful of blueberries
1 peach
4 tbsp yogurt
1/2 banana
50 ml blackcurrant juice

Kiwi-Berry
6 strawberries (fairly large)
1 handful of blueberries
50 ml blackcurrant juice
1 peach
1 kiwi

They all make for around a glass of smoothie, depending on your glass size really.
Enjoy!

Something to Think about

Hi everyone :)

A while back I read a quote that I just couldn't let go. I kept thinking about it for days on end so I thought I would share it with you all.

Your are too smart to be the only thing
standing in your way.

Had enough time to think about it?
It's so true isn't it? And it is a shame really that it is so true.
There are so many great opportunities that we just don't take because we think to much about it. Too many times have we not taken a risk and jumped into happiness because we worry to much.

We literally block our on way to happiness. It's like we are all some sort of masochist that likes destroying their own happiness. Or even the shot at being happy.
There are so many occasion where we prefer to stay at home because it is safer and than we regret it.
We really are to smart to do that to ourselves.
Or we should be!
We need to stop overthinking things and building walls between us and great opportunities.
It's like there is another one of us walking in front of us who decides what we can and cannot do.
Step around yourself and take a chance.
We only learn and grow through mistakes.

You are too smart to be the only thing
standing in your way.

My Smoothie Life

Hi everyone :)

It is getting warmer and warmer and summer is nearing.
At least that is how it is supposed to work, so I am just going to forget about the bad weather and pretend that I am preparing for summer. Which I am it's just that the weather hasn't quite gotten that yet, most of the time anyway.
As I was saying: It is going to be summer soon and us girls now that this means getting your beach body ready. Yes there is no beaches in Augsburg but that is not the point. We want to look our best but at the same time we don't want to be missing out on the good stuff.
Which is why I have some pretty simple things that you can do that will keep you from gaining weight which is all I think we need really. I am not a big fan of changing your whole body for summer I just like to keep it the way it is :)

Lets begin:
There is 3 things I like to do.
Firstly I like to stay away from sweets completely which is a lot easier said than done, I know. But I am not just saying stay away from sweets no I am giving you an alternative that you can get creative with and that is even more delicious than sweets.
SMOOTHIES
They are tasty and healthy at the same time. I have one recipe for you now but I will make a whole post about it on Friday, since I have been having one for breakfast every morning this week and will continue to experiment with them.
All you really need for smoothies is a blender and fruit so that is quite handy as well.

Ingredients

75 ml apple juice
4 tbsp yogurt
6 strawberries (fairly large)
half a banana (a big one)

If you feel like having a real refreshment add 3-4 frozen strawberries.

That all goes into a blender until all the fruit pieces have turned into a liquid, slightly thick mixture.
And there you have your sweet treat :)

Secondly I like to drink a lot of water and there is a reason for that. Not only because you need to stay hydrated in summer but also because your body stores water if you don't drink enough. That means that if you drink more your body will loose the water it has been storing and you will actually loose weight without loosing weight :D Did that make sense?

And the third thing: Try to avoid eating anything other than vegetables after 8 pm. Meaning salad, cucumbers, peppers and stuff are fine, but no potatoes. So just vegetables that consist of a lot of water. That goes together with the second thing in a way, because lots of water is good. Or fluid in generaƶl

And with these three things, looking good for summer really isn't so hard. Also what doing this will include is better skin. Because eating healthy and drinking a lot actually does have an effect on your skin.

Youtube Treasures

Hi everyone :)

I am always on the lookout for creative things on the internet that I can show you. And since we have been talking about commercials and ads before this week I thought this one would fit quite well.
I know it isn't the newest internet sensation but I think it is pretty well made nonetheless.
What I am talking about?
A Pepsi commercial. The one with Britney, Pink and Beyonce to be more precise.
What I like so much about it? It is different, sure they wear very view clothes but that is not the point.
I find the idea very cool, to take 3 so different voices and make them sing such an iconic song.

Besides they do look great right? :)
I have to be honest though: Before I had even seen this video I was pretty concerned that their voices would go together. They are all unique for a different reason yet somehow did sound so amazing together.
And the thing itself is just a bit hilarious isn't it? Enrique Iglesias as Cesar? I have always pictured him as a cute puppy, Enrique I mean. Obviously not Cesar.

Tell me what you think?
